Stairway Murals

First impressions are important, and in a home, the entryway is where the first impression is made. The owners of this grand home wanted a dramatic setting for their eclectic collection of art and antiques.

To lend this space some visual weight, faux fantasy marble panels were painted along the stairs. To lighten the mood, the panels above were painted in a design inspired by illuminated manuscripts, lit by antique sconces with rock crystal birds on crystal branches specified by the designer.
